TORONTO, ONTARIO – (February 26, 2016) Gowest Gold Ltd. (“Gowest” or the “Corporation”) (TSX VENTURE: GWA) announced today that it intends to issue, subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval, an aggregate of 1,312,500 common shares to non-management directors of the Corporation, as partial payment of fees owed to such directors in respect of the period from November 1, 2013 to October 31, 2015. The aggregate deemed value of the common shares to be issued is $105,000.00. The shares are being issued in lieu of cash in order to conserve the cash resources of the Corporation.

Gowest is a Canadian gold exploration and development company focused on the delineation and development of its 100% owned Bradshaw Gold Deposit (Bradshaw), on the Frankfield Property, part of the Corporation’s North Timmins Gold Project (NTGP).
